This new concrete block retaining wall completely transformed the backyard, replacing the previous structure while continuing to support the hillside, elevate the space, and create a level, functional area next to the house.
The existing retaining wall extended across the customer’s backyard and needed to be demolished before construction of the new wall could begin. The demolition process begins as the old retaining wall is carefully taken down and properly disposed of, creating a clean slate for what’s to come.Once the old wall is removed, the site is carefully prepped and precisely measured to create a level foundation that supports proper drainage and long-term protection for the new structure. With the concrete wall fully constructed, the final stage of the project focuses on backfilling the space behind the wall and smoothing the surrounding ground for a clean, polished finish.A distinctive feature of this retaining wall is the poured concrete cap along the top, which forms a continuous solid strip. Slightly wider and thicker than the wall itself, it adds both structural durability and a refined finished appearance.
